Goal Bar seating?
I've been seeing a lot of ticketing on StubHub and other ticket brokers selling "GOAL BAR SEATING", I'm just curious if anyone knows exactly what that is? I know at the Goal Bar there is like little tables and stuff and when the curtain is open you can watch the game. But is that the seating? or is there other seating below that near the Goal bar?

I think they might be the leather seats. Honestly, they are nothing to write home about. They are behind the basket. The only good thing is that they are the comfortable black leather seats just like the club ones. It doesn't come with food or anything. They are the seats in front of the curtain that closes the goal bar so you can't see it.

Okay. The reason I asked was because I see all the listings are really cheap. Like for example there are tickets on Stubhub for monday in section 101 above the goal bar and row 1 is going for like 80.00, yet the goal bar right below it ROW A is going for like 50.00 so I don't get how the closer view is cheaper. Only way i thought it would be cheaper would be if it was the table seating which would be uncomfortable. I just find it hard to believe the tickets are cheaper and have better seating.

Goal bar seating is always empty for games. I really believe the Nets are the ones who put those seats on stubhub, since there are 20 available in a row. hmmm... The Nets also definitely put other tickets available on stubhub...no doubt about it. They aren't the only ones who do it though. Mets, Yankees and etc also do.

Its funny but you might be right. Its weird though because I went to a couple games in the beginning of the season and they had the curtains closed and when I asked an employee up there about it they said they didn't open it for NETS games only DEVILS. Which is why I thought it was weird seeing those tickets now. Because they weren't up on the beginning of the season. So it could be the Nets decide to open it now and are trying to sell em. Make sense.

I was going to say that I thought that was only for Devils games. I guess Deron's arrival has made them think they'll be able to sell them.

I think it's just verse marquee games. They were full during the Heat and Knicks game. So, I'm assuming people are just sitting in them when it is against a popular team. They really aren't good seats though because they are behind the basket.

Behind the basekt doesn't mean bad view. I actually prefer to watch a game behind the basket.

Yeah it really depends. Like I have sat courtside before to the side of the basket and it sucks because you really miss a good chunk of the court. I have sat like 15 rows back behind the basket and its not so bad, actually the view is pretty good. It really just depends on the angle. If your on an angle its good because you see the whole court, where as in if your directly behind the basket you miss things. I think the view would be pretty sweet if its from like an angle in the goal bar. Here is a picture I found that someone took from the goal bar seats during a Devils game...seem pretty sweet to me.

That seat doesn't look bad at all for a hockey game, but you have to remember, in basketball, you have elevated baskets that obstruct your view. In hockey, there really isn't anything obstructing your view for the most part.

eh, I just don't really like sitting behind the basket. On a angle, thats fine though. And those seats for the Devils game....I don't like at all. First, because of the net, but thats not that big of a deal. But, 2nd...the top bar of the net, is right across the goaltender on the far side, and that can be annoying to me.
For the price of what those goal bar seats are going for, I'd rather sit somewhere else.
Edit: just realized the reason why the bar is over the goaltender in the picture is because the people are standing up for the national anthem. I guess if your sitting down, it isn't in your way.

The thing is those goal bar seats are going for really cheap. Thats the only reason I am even considering it especially for a game like tomorrow where prices can be inflated. Its funny because tickets right above and below are going for like twice the amount, which is what I don't understand. Especially since you get comfy leather seats, a pretty decent view, the bar right behind you, the food right behind you, and the bathrooms right behind you. Its like a poor mans luxury box.

no food in the goal bar, I believe. It's only drinks...and expensive ones at that.

There was food although its REALLY expensive. Its not regular food like hot dogs and pizza. They had like Prime Rib sandwiches and stuff like that. And the drinks weren't any more expensive then what you get on the concourse. I got two beers and it was 7.00 each.
I would recommend this seating to anyone looking for GREAT seats at an AMAZING price. I paid 20.00 for two tickets on StubHub row A. View was great, no obstructions, and the seats are spacious and leather. The same seats are available for as low as 20.00 (row B though) against the BULLS and as low as 5.00 (row C) against the Pacers. Also it doesn't really matter what row you sit in A-C all have great views.
Great game tonight and good times. GO NETS!

Yeah, I saw the picture you took on facebook. Looked like the view was good. You know how much that prime rib sandwich was? I need to try that!

It was somewhere between 16-20 bucks. My friend got it and it was really really good but I couldn't get myself to spend that much on a sandwich with fries. I was happy with my burgerking after the game lol

Yeah, it's definitely one of those kind of things you have rarely. Like last year one of the Yankee games I went to, I splurged on a Lobels Steak sandwich. It was expensive...I think like $18...but oh my gosh, it was so worth it.

Its sections 23-27. As of recently though StubHub hasn't been selling them.
