Why do you say this?

I've never heard anything good about him, he's gotten a DWI even though he's over 40, and I can't find any positive impacts he's made in Dallas. Dirk became more of an inside player, is it because of Popeye?

Sorry, let me rephrase. There's nothing Popeye was great at, except for maybe offensive rebounding. I meant that there is no specific skill that he can pass down to our players.

If we're getting a big man coach, I want him to teach toughness and defense. One, because it's by far more important for a big man to play defense, and two, because Brook is already a pretty good offensive player.

How do you know this?

Mostly guesswork and assumptions, but I did see him play a lot during Michael Jordan's Washington comeback. Popeye had a lot of dumb plays. And again, the man got a freaking DWI last year. What the GO NETS!!!?!

I am ok with Popeye Jones.

At least I remember him being a more then adequate defensive rebounding PF whether as a starter or role player.
