Derrick Rose is not very good

I've been paying close attention to Derrick Rose all season, and he does not impress me.

He's a miserable shooter (although it has gotten slightly better) with no range and a disgustingly flat jumper. He's much too passive and he can't dribble the ball without carrying it.

He's certainly a big time athlete and he seemingly can get to the hoop whenever he wants, but he always settles for ridiculous floaters instead of going up strong (in the rare instances when he actually decides to attack).

I've seen bigs switch on him a number of times and he'll just hand the ball off to a teammate and not even try to take advantage. It just never seems like he wants to take over the game or put the team on his back. It's a shame, because with all that talent and athleticism, he should be more than capable.

Most star players have a confidence or will power that they impose on the game and I just don't see that from Rose. It's not his personality.

The potential is there, he's young, and he's got a world of talent, but I'm not sure that he's got the mental make-up to be a big time player.

i know harris set the world record, but wasnt it also true that he ask Tony Parker not to try it as well? (during the allstar weekend)

This guy has really been shutting me up for the past couple weeks (which is great for my fantasy team). I would still like to see him fix the mechanics of that jumper and eventually extend his range though.

I am not the biggest Rose fan, but the truth is he started out this season injured and it really took him a while to get it going.

This guy is really looking awesome lately. That jumper is falling and he's being aggressive. That two hand dunk last night was amazing.
