Discussion of other NBA Teams and league-wide issues.

The source also said Miami is the front-runner for Troy Murphy. The Heat will have to cut as many players as they sign, and the source said Carlos Arroyo and Jamaal Magloire are the likeliest candidates.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6167769Saw it out of the Bibby article. I kinda want to see Murphy join the Heat to see what he can do in that rotation. He'll probably get 10 minutes or so a night backing up Bosh, but I want to see if he's still got it and it was just Avery killing him, or is he really done at this point.
Oh, and cutting Magloire for Murphy

0-10 now, and losing playing time fast. Would anyone who was blaming Avery Johnson for not integrating Murphy onto the team like to chime in?

I have thought from the beginning that:
1) Murphy was brought in for Lee as a 1-year (or less!) rental to provide bona fide, starting caliber play at the 4 for us, to spare us the spectre of Humphries starting while Favors learned the ropes. The fact that his outside-in offensive game meshed nicely with Bropez was a key.
2) He hurt his back between the trade and the start of the season.
3) He was never the same.
I haven't seen anything to controvert this story. Did I miss it?
PS - I anticipated this was going to be a problem as soon as I heard he words "back" and "injury." The only thing that has surprised me, frankly, has been the nice job Humphries has done (although I still don't think he's a starter on a good team).

It's amazing how absolutely down hill this guys game went from one year to the next. This is all about his physical and mental ability to prepare himself, which it doesn't appear he's been doing this season.

How about Curley!? Only a few games, but he's having a resurgence with the Cs. I bet Frank has a hand in that.

Avery ruined him. Probably forced him to change his shooting form so that he never makes shots anymore.

Avery couldn't see him taking any of Hump's minutes - which was right - but he could have at least let him compete with Petro.
