Sherron Collins, on whether people forget he's got a chip: "Lil bit, lil bit, ha. But a lot of people remember, so that’s a good thing."
Yea, maybe a Chocolate Chip! Hazaa!
Anything important stand out so far?

"We also have Anthony Morrow he’s one of the best for three-point throws. It’s very important for our team. "

Turner who?
"According to sources at the workout yesterday, Hobson has received a guarantee in the late first round. With the Nets drafting at No. 27 and in need of some depth at the wing positions, Hobson could end up playing in New Jersey next season"

Would love to see us draft this guy.

I really don't know much about this kid except what I've read.
Anyone seen him play much?

Hobson was an intriguing player for me at New Mexico.... i wouldn't mind seeing him in a NETs uni.
Watching him at the combine, wasn't that impressive, perhaps fatigue took over?

A question with Hobson is whether he is redundant with Terrence Williams. I'm a big believer that you shouldn't draft players that play the same position in the same year or even in consecutive years. Thus, out of the Nets' three picks this year, I'd target a PG, SG, PF, and/or a center--everything but a SF. Of course, maybe you argue whether TWill should be a SF.

I pretty much agree with this, but i would also make an exception if the SF prospect would be the immediate better shooter.... offers a strength in area where the other's lack?

I really like Dominque Jones out of USF. He can play both SG and some PG. He brings scoring, athleticism, and defense off the bench and alot of other intangibles. He was a beast in college, and I believe he has an excellent attitude towards the game and a great work ethic. Would certainly be a team player also.
I dont know if he will be avaliable at the 27th. but maybe if we buy the hawks pick?
I really would like the Nets to show more interest in this kid.

But you're an advocate for drafting Evan Turner.
Why?
I'd rather take Hobson with 27 than Turner at 3.

Can Hobson play SG effectively?

Re: NJ Workouts
I think him OR Terrence Williams can.
The biggest problem again is the lack of a shooter in a lineup with those 2.

How is Hobson as a shooter? How does he compare to Twill?

You would pass up on Turner if he falls to 3?

That's not what I said.
I think Hobson has better value at 27 than Turner does at 3.

So I take it you don't think of Evan Turner in the possible franchise player, Brandon Roy clone mold, like many others do?
