2011 NBA Mock Draft - Updated 6/16
Is it early, well yes it is but for the fun of it.
http://www.nbadraft.net/2011mock_draft
Now remember, if the Warriors finish outside of the top 11, we get their first for this year....
Looking at where we are in the draft, we missed on everyone who is deemed a good prospect... Interested to see this Perry Jones(i know of Terrance Jones) but Perry is someone i will try to get a look at...a 6'11 SF is no joke, especially if he does have the perimeter skills as being described.

No it applies here too.(you can see the 2011 trades at the bottom under the draft listing in the link)
According to them, "Nets receive the Warriors' 2011 first-round pick (lottery protected in 2011, top 11 protected in 2012, top 10 protected in 2013, if not conveyed by 2013, Nets will instead receive the Warriors' 2013 and 2015 second-round picks) (Marcus Williams trade 07-22-08)"
OOPS i stand corrected, it is entirely lotto protected(top 14) in 2011, i misread that entirely.

Re: 2011 NBA Mock Draft
Perry Jones and Kyrie Irving are the real deal. Barnes seems OK to me.
Anyway, right now there are 3 teams with worse records than us(Twolves, Kings, Clippers) and 2 other tied with us... its obviously too early for anything, and as we've seen before, being in the top 5 of bad records doesn't guarantee you being in the top 5 in the draft. We have our own first rounder and 2 2nd rounders this year (ours and the Warriors') which means we'd probably end up combining 2 2nd rounders to move up in the draft.

The GSW pick is 2012, there is no chance what so ever we get the 2011 unless Golden State wanted to get it out of the way and offered it to us on draft night in place of 2012 pick and we accepted.

Looks like we should hit it perfectly next year.
"First I got to get big like Dwight Howard, Im gonna do that"
"We also have Anthony Morrow he’s one of the best for three-point throws. It’s very important for our team. "

That's all wrong.
It's different now, we have no shot at it until 2012, trust me on this one.
It's the reason we get their 2011 2nd no questions asked.

Re: 2011 NBA Mock Draft
2011= Our own first round + two 2nd round picks(Ours and GSW's)
2012- Our own first round + gsw's first round (top 7 protected) plus THREE 2nd rounders via Chicago, and Miami plus ours.
We should hope to get Barnes, Jones or Irving. Last year we got robbed in the lotto, hopefully Karma helps us land a top 3 pick next year. If we draft a PG, we should trade Harris to a playoffs team and get assets back. Murphy should also be traded this year.
Irving/Farmar
Morrow/Twill
Jeff Green/DJ
Favors/Hump
Lopez/ Use picks to land a backup with some potential for Brook.
Harris, Murphy, Outlaw and Petro should go away.
If we don't land a PG then we should Keep Harris.
Harris/Farmar
Morrow/Twill
Perry Jones or Barnes/James
Favors/Hump
Lopez/ 2nd round pick
In this case we wouldn't have to spend $$ for Green. The next year in 2012, we might get to use a top 10 pick from golden state plus depending on how good we are, our own. By the time we are in BK, if our FO plays it right, we could have an exciting, young team that can definitely get in the playoffs and improve every year.

Re: 2011 NBA Mock Draft
Honestly we need to take the best pick whoever it is.... that Sullinger kid looks well polished. Maybe try to move Favors to make room for him? How about moving Harris and picking up a young pg like Kemba Walker. Sorry, I'm a huge UConn fan.
Edit: Terrence Jones!
If the Melo deal falls through and we need to build through the draft, what do you all think about TJones?

New #1.... Derrick Williams?
I know this will change quick and often but still be nice to gauge the prospects rankings...
EE's boy going to the Kings would be phenomal for that Franchise... Irving, Evans, Cassipi/Greene/Garcia, Thompson, Cousins.... wow.... young and deadly.

Boy, this year's draft is looking really big-man heavy, with the exception of Irving

Personally I think its Kyle Irving, Terrence Jones or bust. I really like Terrence Jones...i think he could be a great small forward in the NBA.
