The All Prospects Rest of the Season Game Thread
Re: The All Prospects Rest of the Season Game Thread
I picked Kentucky to go all the way 8)
Is there anyone good enough for King to ask Proky to use $3M or $6M to finagle his way up the board?
Got to feel that once the talent drops off that the picks could be available. After the wave of Terrence and Perry Jones, Barnes(if he comes out), Derrick Williams, Irving(if he comes out), Kemba, the Jimmer, and some foreigners.
And with Sullinger, Irving, and Barnes possibly staying this draft is getting worse and worse. What a year to trade that pick for the 2nd best PG in the league

I'm starting to lean more and more towards Jeff Taylor, I hope he's available at the Lakers pick and we don't blow it on Singler.

Barnes, if stays, looks like the prize for next year's draft.
If he comes out this year... damn it!

I'm really warming up to Jeremy Lamb, I just don't see him realistically declaring unless a team gives him a lottery promise.
That would be awesome though, a team around maybe 12 or 13 gives him a lotto promise, but then a guy like Terrence Jones free falls to their pick, they pass on Lamb and we trade up or trade into the late teens and nab the surprise steal of the draft.
He's raw and skinny, but I think he's an instant contributor and has star role player potential a few years down the line.

Re: The All Prospects Rest of the Season Game Thread
Lamb certainly is showing his shooting stroke is top notch. He'll be a project if he comes out this year, probably will serve better if he stays thus solidfying his lotto status vs this year IMO.
Terrance Jones has stepped up his game this tournament, he'll be a slow defender at the 3 but not a real PF in the pros IMO. Probably would need to be in an Orlando/Dallas/Phx/GS type systems.
There some FL guys, Young and Maclin, whom I like as well including that SF #24(the white guy) who's name escapes me.

Leslie is also entering his name to the list of underclassmen draft prospects. But the 6-4 guard won't hire an agent, giving him the option of returning for his final college season after he evaluates his draft status. Leslie averaged 14.4 points and 7.2 rebounds this past season.

I just don't know how I feel about Leslie.
He definitely has shades of Tony Allen or Shanon Brown to him, but he also scares me as a Hassan Adams clone.
They are other guys out there I would personally take a shot on first that are in his range.

Anyone see much of Tyler Honeycutt? Thoughts?

Standard issue cliche-ish comparison, Tayshaun Prince with a little more athleticism.
He's not aggressive enough, but that might be fine of the next level cause he projects as a role player in the above variety.

Perry Jones III is returning for his sophomore year as well. This draft is slowly getting weaker and weaker. Besides Irving and maybe D. Williams or Kantar, there are not many elite players.

Wow, good for PJ3 to go back. Wish him the best.
Looks like 2012 draft is getting stronger by the minute.

Pretty soon, we can start saying this draft will likely be weak, at least on star power and high upside guys.
I heard somewhere Alec Burks is going back for his junior year as well, does anyone know if that's true?

Earlier this week Burks said he was undecided and would wait until around the April 24th deadline to announce.
