Re: NBA Draft Combine
Wasn't Penn one of the main guys who traded the Deron/CP3 pick away for Martell Webster?
Lot of irony right there talking about you need to find a franchise pillar out of a top 10 pick...
Chad Ford on his normal excruciatingly painful hyperbole. Pretty much all of them.
Saying there isn't even a third tier NBA talent in this draft.
Saying Ibaka(pre NBA Ibaka) would have been the unanimous #1 overall pick.
Lot of insanely extreme BS going on right about now.
This isn't a very strong draft, but they're really trying to ride that worst draft of all time hype train from station to destination and back.
ESPN has really grown tiresome. It's so ridiculous it's actually become awkward to watch.

NBA TV should have this. Not sure how ESPN got their grubby hands on it.
Love that Ibaka comment considering Biyambo looks to me to be waaaaaaay ahead of Ibaka at this point and sure seems to have a higher ceiling.

Re: NBA Draft Combine
From what I watched on TV, (and they didn't really show much) I thought Singler looked slow and terrible on D. I still think he is overrated, but I have a feeling BK will draft him.
Malcolm Lee, David Lighty, and DeAndre Liggins were all interesting to watch. They all provide similar attributes to the game; athleticism, strong perimeter defense, and transition scoring threats. Lee and Lighty seem to have a higher BBIQ. But I would like to see maybe one of them picked with the 2nd rounder. Players like Ronnie Brewer, CJ miles, and wes matthews all thrived with DWill as their pg and I can see any of these players doing the same.
Didn't get to see much of Justin Harper, but I wouldn't mind the Nets taking a risk at him if they don't trade up and keep the 27th pick. He is considered a tweener and comes from a smaller school, but I like the versatility he brings to the court being 6'10 and can shoot the 3.
Even though this is considered a weak draft and we don't have any lottery picks, I am pretty excited for this draft.

Yeah. Point the cameras at the court. Is that hard?

Chad Ford needs his face time.
It's like Camby and his jumpshots, he's so good on D and rebounding, you have to throw him a bone once in awhile to keep him happy.

They really liked Kanter. Seems like the more he works out, the more hype he's going to get.

Kanter looks a ton more athletic then advertised.
It's not that he looks exceptionally athletic, but he was made out by some to be a plodder.

At the combine?
He was there, but ESPN showed pretty much nothing of him.
I assume the Nets bring him in for a look.
He measured out at 6'8 in socks, I still wonder if he's a tweener or if he can play the 3 though.
I've warmed up to him some, but I'm still skeptical he's more then a specialist.
