2009-2010 Players to watch

Postby CalamityX04 » Tue Nov 10, 2009 8:39 pm

This is coming from the USA Today from Baltimore MD, (no link, an actual paper copy :o )
So here is what that said...

They listed their Favorite Players for the season and made an "All-Solid Gold Teams" list:

First Team:
Center: Cole Aldrich,6'11,JR, Kansas. Shot Blocking and post-play domiance make him a major reason the Jayhawks are rated so highly.
Forward: Kyle Singler(calamity reaction :?: ), 6'8, JR, Duke. Has perimeter skills and can shoot the trifecta.
Forward: Luke Harangandy, 6'8, SR, Notre Dame. Double Double threat every night.
Guard: Sherron Collins, 5'11, SR, Kansas. Creator and big-time playmaker, a catalyst for a high powered offense.
Guard: Kalin Lucas,6'0,JR, Mich St. Jet-quick, spark for the spartans. (Calamity - IMO, high energy defensive guy out there)

2nd Team:
Center: Greg Monroe. 6'11,Soph, G'Town (Calamity favorite this year's draft)
Forward: Damion Jame, 6'7, SR, TX.
Forward: Patrick Patterson,6'9,JR, Kentucky
Guard: Scottie Reynolds,6'2, SR, Villanova.
Guard: Gerivis Vasquez, 6'6, SR, MD.

The "Super 7 All Diaper Team"
G: John Wall, Kentucky
G: Avery Bradley, Texas
G: Xavier Henry, Kansas
C: DeMarcus Cousins, Kentucky
F: Derrick Favors, GT
F: John Henson, UNC
F: Renardo Sidney, Mississippi State

No love for Davis it seems...

I'm actually happy to see that they would put Kalin Lucas on the first squad, that guy was great in the tourney. (curse his team for squashing my final four!)

Damion James still getting love too, interesting.

Davis hasn't proven much so far.

I'm surprised Willie Warren isn't there. I saw him on some favorites for the All-American 1st team.

Well we will see how Willie does without Griffen play off of.

I want to see this John Wall character and all the hype he's getting.

Monroe should have a good year.

No Evan Turner?!

Watch out for Paul George as well, this kid has crazy potential.
