Eurobasket 2009 will have a big clash before the final takes place. Shooters Allen Iverson (pictured) and Andrzej Pluta will compete against each other to decide who is the best three-point shooter. The event, to take place on 19th September during the semi-finals, is sponsored by Reebok on Iverson's side. The 34-year-old guard is one of the best shooters in the NBA, topping the scoring table innumerous times, while being named league MVP in 2001. He only took part in a three-point contest once in 2000 and ended second-to-last. Polish Pluta on the other hand took part in 14 contests, winning six in the PLK All-Star. Last season he made 84 out of 168 shots from beyond the arc.
The eve of the tournament final will also feature a European U18 All-Star game.

I have no idea who Pluta is, but his name is cool and his stats are impressive. I can't see Iverson winning this one.
